Malmesbury Town Council would like to thank the more than 70 organisations, six venue hosts and well over 1000 participants at the Community Day held on Saturday 8th February. It was great to see all the venues – the Town Hall, the Abbey, the Julie and Hans Rausing Building, the Riverside, the Library and the Abbey House Gardens, all thronging with visitors. The aim was to share some of the brilliant things going on in and around Malmesbury; the great buzz all day, the number of participants and the overwhelmingly positive feedback received at the Town Hall all point to it being a very successful event. Councillors and staff were very pleased to be able to give effect to Mayor Julie Exton’s idea for this Community Day. Deputy Mayor, Campbell Ritchie, will be delivering a 22 page Get Well Soon card to Julie this week.
